JOB DESCRIPTION Our web database application is the world's foremost system serving the one of mankind's greatest and most gigantic of industries, that of ... MYSTERY SHOPPING ! What ?!?!? Anyway, our app is used by over 70 of our clients serving 4000+ companies from Hackensack NJ to Singapore to Dubai .. and it seems that all 4000 of them loooove our app - except for "one little itty bitty thingie". That's where YOU come in. As Project Manager, your job is to take that one "itty bitty thingie" they don't like and work with our developers to customize the system to their liking. If you enjoy being that kind of "Miracle Worker", read on RESPONSIBILITIES * Project Management - Assess customer needs, formulate optimal solutions, compose project specifications and collaborate with our remarkably friendly and eager development group to produce the needed customizations. * Tech Support - You provide post-development support for the customizations you've managed * Documentation and Knowledge Base Contributions - Add your experiences and know-how to our department's combined intelligence. * Additional opportunities - if you have desire and aptitude for user interface design, documentation systems, training, customer outreach programs, newsletters/press releases, or Nintendo Wii, we're more than happy to exploit that as well! REQUIREMENTS * 2 years technical support THE COMPANY Started in 1999, SurfMerchants is a web development company that has thrived during the dot-bomb area by maintaining a fierce focus on sound business principles and patient, steady growth. We have been profitable every quarter of our existence and have no debt or venture capital on our backs. We do not hire the uptight, the intolerant, or the non-funny because life is too short to spend with folks you can't stand ! ------------------------------------------------------------------------ THE COMPENSATION Salary Range : $37.5-$50k ($34K-$46.5K plus anticipated $3500 bonuses -$3500 is our conservative estimate - average bonuses last two years was $4000/year) Work Environment : Expect to spend 3 days a week in our office on the Boston Common. The remaining days can be spent working from home (if that's your preference).
